Dove Lodge, Littlehampton
This introductory workshop takes a welcoming and inviting look at the fascinating world of video gaming culture. We will examine why we play games, demystify different game genres, understand the different player types and explore the risks and benefits of gaming. We will take a considered look at the case for gaming addiction, explore the social side of gaming and discuss concerns about gaming safely. Holly Myfield, a therapist and avid gamer, will lead this workshop, and create plenty of opportunities for discussion and sharing your own experiences. Aimed mainly at practitioners working with gamers, this workshop has been attended in the past by Counsellors, Parents, Mental Health Practitioners, Teachers and anyone with an interest in learning more about gaming or working with Children and Young People.
CPD Certificate
You will receive a 6 hour CPD certificate of attendance on completion of this session.
